Leadership/Advocacy

In the Counselor Education and Supervision field, being a social change agent is essential to the lives of our clients.  Power, privilege, and oppression impact clients' lives. The American Counseling Association (ACA) Code of Ethics (2014) requires CES to participate in social justice advocacy at the individual, community, and systemic levels. As a CES, I  have the responsibility of being a social change agent as well as teaching and training counselors-training how to be social agents.
