Today I’m thinking about 𝓅𝓇𝑜𝓉𝑒𝒸𝓉𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓂𝓎 𝓅𝑒𝒶𝒸𝑒
With so much negativity going on in our world, it’s more important than ever to protect our peace... and subsequently, our mental health.

How can we protect our peace? First, pay close attention to yourself and what you need. Be conscious of your thoughts and feelings when you interact with certain people, places or things such as social media. You may have to re-establish boundaries and limit your exposure to troubling or triggering news.
“Focusing too much on negative or dangerous information can have detrimental effects by increasing anxiety and stress” says Pamela B. Rutledge who is Director of the Media Psychology Research Center.
Instead, try focusing on taking good care of yourself. Aim to get enough sleep, eat well and exercise if you can. Stay connected with loved ones and those who help you feel centered, and remember it’s ok to say “no”. These are steps we can all take to protect our peace and mental health. 💜
