Dear Diary

Today I'm thinking about Rest

rest,relax, self-care

Today I’m thinking about 𝓇𝑒𝓈𝓉.

Life is busy. There’s work to be done, laundry to be folded, meetings to be conducted, emails to be sent...and the list could go on. Plus we are right in the midst of the hustle & bustle of the holiday season.

Though all of these may be true, today I encourage you to intentionally carve out time for 𝓇𝑒𝓈𝓉.

𝑅𝑒𝓈𝓉.

Relax.

Refresh yourself.

Recover your strength.

It is so vital that we properly balance our lives with periods of restorative rest. Rest helps rejuvenate us physically, mentally as well as spiritually.

Dr. Alex Pang, author of the book Rest; Why You Get More Done When You Work Less, says “we often think of rest as something we’ll get done when we get done with everything else. The problem is, we’re never done. There is always more to do or more that we think we ought to be doing.”

So you have to deliberately rest. Take a break. Go for a walk. Have that afternoon nap! Whatever you choose to do, remember to make 𝓇𝑒𝓈𝓉 a priority. 💜
